Parker Platt’s lifetime exposure to design and architecture has centered his design approach on people. His intense passion is channeled into creating spaces that enhance clients’ everyday lives by connecting people to places and nurturing those relationships with breathtaking views, abundant daylight, and attention to comfort. As a principal of Platt Architecture, Parker has helped numerous clients realize spaces which are more than they imagined possible. He achieves these results by listening hard to what clients imagine and applying his healthy obsession with getting it “right” to the finest details of a design.
Parker feels lucky to be able to do such rewarding work at Platt Architecture and remain in his fine, small hometown of Brevard. To express his gratitude, he gives back to the community through extensive involvement with local organizations. He is a past president of the Boys & Girls Club of Transylvania County, a past member of the Transylvania County Planning Board, and a past member of the Brevard City Planning Board. He currently serves as a board member of the Boys & Girls Club of Transylvania County, the Transylvania Partnership for Economic Development, the Transylvania County Economic Development Advisory Board, and the Transylvania County/Brevard Chamber of Commerce. Parker attended North Carolina State University and is a licensed Architect.
Parker’s own connections to places and people are created by living the mantra “pursue good stuff.” That good stuff includes spending time with family and friends, enjoying great music, cooking, and bird hunting.
